HAVANA.-  (ACN) US actor Danny Glover said on Wednesday in Cienfuegos that he is grateful of the Cuban people’s generosity during a visit to the Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, ICAP.

The renowned actor said he wanted to speak to the Cuban people to express his friendship, look for support for those that suffer in the work and demand an end to the criminal economic blockade imposed by the United States against the people on the island.

The anti-racism activist and Good Will ambassador for UNICEF visited ICAP’s Solidarity Hall to look at the exhibition dedicated to the leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro.

Photos that reminds of the presence of Fidel in Cienfuegos, Bay of Pigs, his exchanges with politicians and renowned figures in favor of Latin American integration and the Concept of Revolution declared by the Commander in Chief in May of 2000, called the attention of the US actor and friend.

Before visiting the city of Cienfuegos, the restless fighter for the return of the Cuban Five paid homage to Ernesto Che Guevara at the Plaza where hi remains lay to rest in the city of Santa Clara.Danny Glover recently received the Friendship Medal given by the Cuban Council of State in recognition to his commitment with the revolutionary process on the island and his ideals of equality and social justice.
