HAVANA.- (ACN) The rainy season wound up in Cuba leaving a 97 percent accumulate of rainwater, some 969,5 millimeters with reservoirs at 57 percent of their capacities, if compared to the historic average, but that figure does not compensate for the notable water deficit reported over the past few years.

A sizable number of natural water supply sources report low levels, which demands water-saving efforts in the residential and sate sectors, particularly in the coming dry season.

According to the Water Resources Institute, out of 15 underground water supply sources that feed main cities and tourist centers, nine are in normal conditions, five in unfavorable situation and one in critical state.
