At the close of 2015, Germany occupied -after Canada- the second position among the main markets for Cuba, with 175 thousand 264 travelers, a figure that represents an increase of 26 percent, according to the National Bureau of Statistics and Information.

According to the Caribbean island’s Tourism Ministry (MINTUR), at ITB 2016, the Cuban stand will show professionals and the public the potential of Havana, Cayo Largo del Sur, Varadero, cays north of Villa Clara, Jardines del Rey, Holguin and Santiago de Cuba, areas of preference among German
visitors, reports the press release.

Cuba will also announce the main meetings taking place in the country in 2016, among which the 36th International Tourism Fair, scheduled for May 3-7 in Havana, excels.

The same source pointed out that the delegation is composed of representatives of Mintur, the International Group of Tour Operators Havanatur and the Cuban hotel groups Gaviota, Cubanacan, Gran Caribe,
