HAVANA.- In the early hours of this Thursday, the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Army General Raúl Castro, welcomed the President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, and the official delegation that accompanied him on the international tour that took him on an official visit to Russia and four Asian countries a few days ago, and included transit stops in France and the United Kingdom.

Accompanied by José Ramón Machado Ventura, Second Secretary of the Central Committee, and Salvador Valdés Mesa, First Vice President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Raúl gave an emotional embrace to Díaz-Canel, who thus concluded intense days of work that characterized this fruitful journey in which it was ratified, once again, how much Cuba is loved by the world.

The President of the Councils of State and Ministers held meetings with leaders, businessmen, friends of solidarity and Cubans during these days in which there was talk of strengthening ties of friendship and broadening them; important agreements were also signed in the areas of economic and technical cooperation, energy, industries, sports, among others.
