HAVANA, CUBA.-The Cuban Council of Ministers held a session on Wednesday to address economic and social issues on its agenda, including the negative impact by irregularities in foreign trade operations.

According to Cuban TV, the meeting was headed by the President of the Councils of State and Ministers Miguel Diaz-Canel, who was elected to those posts on April 19 during the setting up of the 9th Legislature of the Cuban Parliament.

The Government session also addressed unpaid financial compromises, the results of a recent national audit of the internal control system and the process aimed at facing illegal actions related to the restructuring of the territorial and urban planning set up.

The Council of Ministers also considered the performance of the economic plan for this year up to the month of March.
