Photo: Otilio Rivero delgado/Adelante Photo: Otilio Rivero delgado/Adelante CAMAGÜEY.-Lisandra Gómez de la Torre, prima ballerina of the Contemporary Ballet Company Endedans, is now the second direct delegate from Camagüey to the 19th World Festival of the Youth and the Students Sochi-2017.

Transcended in the company´s headquarters at 262 Cisnero Street, Camagüey, where she received the credential from the hands of Julio Heriberto Gómez Casanova, member of the National Bureau of the Communist Youth League (UJC, Spanish acronym).

“It´s a gift for the company´s accomplishments and awards, received for its hard work, and it is also a responsibility to represent the best young artists trained in our country”, highlighted Lisandra, who has been in Endedans for 12 years.

The election was made through a secret vote in her work place, which has recently celebrated its 15th anniversary with several presentations, showing an evident maturity in the company founded by Tania Vergara, and that is currently lead by Yaylin Ortiz Claveria.

She will take with her to Russia her creative and professional expertise as a ballerina with a classical training that followed the steps of the contemporary dance, and graduated from the Camagüey University of Arts.

“My dreams have always been to have the possibility of staying in this company, and to become a choreographer, besides I am greatly interested in teaching”, pointed this member of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS, Spanish acronym), which gathers the best of Cuban artists.

Several officials of the UJC in the territory lead by the Secretary of the provincial committee Yoandris Ruiz Villalón, who highlighted that the opportunity given to Endedans is for “our commitment and everlasting debt to the company”, assisted to the public act for the delegate to Sochi.
