CAMAGÜEY.- (ACN) The 3rd Tecnosalud Camaguey 2017 Convention, destined to socialize issues like teaching, assistance and research will be held in Camagüey with the participation of over 300 representatives of three countries.

Only of its type in the country and with the assistance of representatives from Mexico, Chile and Cuba, the event will center its debates in professional nursing and health technology.

Medicine and dentistry are also reflected in the event scheduled to begin on Friday with the insertion of students.

The forum gathers over 90 works distributed in different modalities, in response to a call carried out by the Carlos J. Finlay Medical School in Camaguey and the Universitario Valle de Chalco Center of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico.

He announced that the program also includes awards for the best presentations and 8 nurse graduates will receive the Victoria Bru Sanchez in Memoriam recognition.  Bru Sanchez passed away in 1918 in Cienfuegos due to influenza while working to combating the ailment.

The master conference that was held on Thursday included the impact of research in nursing and health technologies in universal health attention. The conference was offered by Dr. Rafael Estevez from the university in the State of Mexico.

The number of studies for health technology at the Carlos J. Finlay Institute will increase from 3 to 7 in the next school year, reported quoting Carmen Moran, member of the entity’s directive council.
