CAMAGUEY.- The trova (ballad), indissoluble component of the Cuban nationality will receive the leading role in this city, on the 29th and 30th of April, during the Event Cubadisco 2017.

Such emphasis corresponds to the anniversary 150 of the birthday of Sindo Garay and 45 years of the Movement of Nueva Trova, both dedications of the international fair of the musical industry in Cuba, which its epicenter is Havana, specified in press conference managers of the Provincial Center of the Music of Camagüey.

The House of Trova Patricio Ballagas, located in front of the Agramonte Park, will be a favorite place for conferences and representations of this genre that descends from the poetical - musical tradition of the 11th century, when the first troubadours arose to the south of France.

In Cuba, the troubadours of the 19th and 20th centuries came from the poorest strata of the population, among them Pepe Sánchez, Sindo Garay, Rosendo Ruíz and Manuel Corona, spontaneous creators who left a vital testimony of their epoch.

As the transcendence of the traditional trova must also be valued by its mark in the nueva trova, because it is about the same movement, the Cubadisco 2017 will emphasize the continuators of these genuine notes in the sonorous history.

In addition, the House of the Young Creator, headquarters of the Asociación Hermanos Saíz, will receive exchanges and will promote bards like Juan Pablo Palmero and Harold Díaz, who will sing in the Big Trovada foreseen for the closing ceremony on the 30th, in the staircase of the Preuniversity school Álvaro Morell, at 8:30 p.m.
