CAMAGUEY, CUBA- (acn) Luis Manuel Díaz García, player and organizer of the videogame tournaments Dota 2 in this province since its beginnings has reasons to celebrate in this fifth edition of the national contest, since at last they have an appropriate venue for the event.

El Bosque Technology Park, an installation recently inaugurated in this city, hosts the competition which runs until December 24th, and favors the participants with better conditions in terms of technology and comfort.

The new facility has very high-performance computers for network play and 32-inch monitors, and even two games can be played at the same time, which speeds up the tournament, Diaz Garcia said.

Roberto Fabelo, Deputy Director of Computing Clubs, told ACN that the sponsorship of the DOTA 2 provincial and national tournaments is one of the objectives of the center.

That entity assumed a time ago the sponsorship of the practice of DOTA 2 in its facilities, because it is a video game that does not resort so much to violence as to strategy, added Fabelo.

Some consider it the 21st century chess, because of the development of the intellect that provoke the rapid decisions that it forces to take, and even some universities in Asian countries already included it as a subject in their academic programs, noted the official.

The current edition of the contest is attended by 10 teams from the provinces of Ciego de Avila, Matanzas, Santiago de Cuba, Granma, Holguín and the local territory.
