On which species will be in each Adelante talk to Roberto Adán Pérez, teacher of the university Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz and botanical adviser of this project that hoards, among its most ancient patrimony, a baobad and other curious species.

One area has been dedicated especially: the Acunana, to Julián Baldomero Acuña Galé, important Camagüeyan botanist that devoted himself to the scientific and teaching work and whose researches and contributions to the botanical knowledge of Cuba brought economic benefits to the country.

Hence his name was chosen to identify the Park and that gather together in his memory the species he discovered or studied and others that some botanists dedicated to him.

Plants that do not lose their leavess will be able to be found in the always green forest; native palms from Camagüey, the island and other countries, in the palmetum; while the serpentine vegetation of the Sabana de Lesca, located in the central-oriental part of Cuba approximately to 20-25 km to the North-East of the city of Camagüey, will be recreated in the area of the caves.

A trip through the different continents will be able to be done across the exotic plants, where are included fruits, timber and others introduced to the island nation, and over 450 varieties of 95 species be will protected in the fruit trees area.

Besides the enjoyment, you can also learn with the project, which dedicated spaces to show how the plants evolved (systematical) and what vegetation the man leaves in the places we interfere.

The humid forest will be made up by júcaros, majaguas, white palms and others and the arboletum will be integrated by large plants. Two areas will be themed with grasslands and forages and roots, tubers, bananas, canes of different varieties and clones.
