In the middle of the central street Republica, the visitor can appreciate 147 pieces, which represent the fifth part of a thesaurus gathered in the symposium of world scope, developed here since 1999.

This space is part of the project of Oscar Rodríguez Lasseria and Nazario Salazar Martínez, representatives of the Movement of the New Camagüeyan Ceramics, and principal promoters of the event.

“The curatorship of the collection will be every 6 months, therefore to fully appreciate it, it will be needed approximately three years”, mentioned Nazario Salazar, artistic director of the institution.

An evidence of the intention of overlapping the different artistic manifestations emerges of the faience with the traces of Cuban intellectuals like the poet Waldo Leyva, the theater intellectual Omar Valiño or writer Senel Paz, scriptwriter of the Cuban movie Fresa y Chocolate (1994), who planned “a palm of the luck” in the edition of 2007.
