The President of the Organizing Committee, the MsC. José Rafael Sánchez Méndez, mentioned to Adelante that the UIC tries to turn into a space to support its members with juridical services, technological insurance and knowledge management, in addition to analyzing the problems of the sector and promoting the solutions that are needed.

Rafael also added that until now there are evaluated at provincial level 217 computer programmers, while an aproximated 60 of them are still for defining. These numbers in accordance with the computer potential that the province has are really below the expected bearing in mind that the technologies are present in practically all the fields of our society.

Nevertheless at national level Camagüey is located in the third position among all the provinces of the country as for number of possible members. Practically all the municipalities has representatives excepting Najasa and Jimaguayú.

The Union of Computer programmers of Cuba comes in a technology present to open the doors towards the knowledge and development.
