A map, a political and physical map of the continents with its alphabetical list of countries and guide of keys, a digital library that gathers outstanding figures of the literature in audio books format, and cookbooks, shape the compilation.

As publishes Radio Cadena Agramonte site, the donation came from the Cultural Entertainment Center of the National Association for the Blind in Havana, which has contributed to the reading promotion in this population sector with its presence in the International Fair of the Book.

For four years the above mentioned entity takes part in the biggest literary event of Cuba, where San Carlos de la Cabaña offers free copies to the persons with visual disability who are present, in the capital, so much printed on Braille as in format of digital audio.

For its part, the Camagüeyan library, with a fund of over 220 000 volumes, possesses a Special Area for Disabled where it hoards a varied collection of books and magazines in Braille, which increases now with the donation of the National Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired Persons.

Created in the XIXth century by the Frenchman Louis Braille, the system of the same name consists of a points alphabet to relief across which there are represented the letters, the punctuation marks, the numbers, the symbols and the music, among others.
