Luis Yanes Fernández, director of the industry, ensured that the repairs are developed without complications and consistent with the timetable.

The principal works executed are the cardinal repair to one of the three cauldrons, and changes of a condenser and of the fund of a preevaporator.

In the field of the power station, the principal scheduled works were already completed and that is very important because “Carlos Manuel de Céspedes” is one of the biggest contributors of energy to the national network.

Without being a definitive decision, the plant will kick off the grinding in the first days of December and in accordance with the cane availability it will have to operate for approximately 130 days.

The supplying of the graminea to its mills will be from nearby fields and from others that had to supply to the factories Panama and Ignacio Agramonte, which for several years do not intervene in the Camagüey sugar harvest because they are not provided with enough raw material in the plantations.

In addition to “Carlos Manuel de Céspedes”, in the next sugar campaign will take part the  Siboney, Batalla de las Guásimas, Argentina and Brazil plants.

It is expected that for the grinding of 2016-2017 Panama plant should join.
