During a homage of the Federation of Cuban Women to journalists and artists of Camagüey, in which was declared the provincial radio and the Adelante newspaper, ¨Voz e Imagen ¨ of its 55th anniversary - to be held next August 23rd- Amarelle Boué recognized the work of the press in the publication of the activities of the organization and also in the promotion of the rights of the women, the equality and the necessary approach of genre.

She said that the journalistic materials and the programs that are realized today already exceed the stereotypes imposed by the society of dedicating to the females recipes of kitchen and councils of beauty to penetrate into more integral topics of the important role of the woman in the society, its multiple opportunities and outcomes.

Journalists like Olga Lilia Vilató de Varona and Diosdada Sagarra Díaz, from Adelante, the latter authoress of the blog Amalias dedicated to the feminine chore in Camagüey; the correspondents of the national broadcasting stations Radio Cadena Agramonte, Radio Rebelde and Radio Reloj, Bárbara Suárez Ávalos, Miozotis Fabelo Pinares and Raiza Mestril Gutiérrez, respectively, and of the newspaper Juventud Rebelde, Yahily Hernández Porto; along with the director of programs Rosa Maria Moros Fernández, the correspondent of Radio Vertientes, Yurisey Hechavarría González, and the announcer Sandra Martínez Cedrés, among others, received the recognition and the fondness of the Federation of Cuban Women of the province.

In Camagüey, most of the workpeople of the mass media are women, and the radio, the television and the provincial newspaper are directed by females, as well as the post of correspondent of the National News Agency and the provincial executive of the Association of Cuban Journalists (UPEC).
