Up to 110 kilometers per hour (km/h) reached some blows of wind, according to the Meteorological Center of Camagüey, and sustained winds between 60 and 70 km/h in approximately one hour, also with fall of abundant hail.

Information offered by the Center of Management of Risk of the municipality of Camagüey, informs that the principal electrical breakdowns were concentrated towards the center of the city, in some of the commercial streets like Ignacio Agramonte and Republica, in addition to Cisneros and Independencia.

Among them there was the propitiated one by the detachment of a mesh placed for the repair of the building in Lugareño street, one of the highest real estate inside the oldest area of the city, and a roof of the Polytechnical School Manuel Cañete Ramos, in the district La Caridad, which affected severely the electrical lines in several circuits.

Humberto Pérez del Rio, director of the Office of Charges of the Electrical Company of the province, said that the damages concentrated fundamentally on four lines of subtransmission, causative of the interruption also of the water pumping, and in six primary distribution circuits.  

In some of these there are located four buildings of 12, 18 and 26 apartments, which were affected by this cause without the service between two and six hours.

Bearing in mind the strong drought in the province, the thunderstorm did not cause any positive effect on this matter, since it only contributed 20.8 millimeters of rain, a non significant accumulated.
