The water deficit was considered by the managers of the Agroindustrial Company of Grains Ruta Invasora not to get involved in imposible plans, hence major adverse effects as the existing ones do not exist in Pinar del Río and Sancti Spíritus, where they planted trusting in the precipitations.

According to the current outcomes of the Camagüeyan ricefields, the locals will not obtain 42 000 tons of rice for the damages caused by the drought.
