The infantile contest ConCienci@Verde has its precedents in another two provincial contests: the infantile contest of drawing and Poetry, on the Environment, DIPOEMA, arisen in 1995, and the infantile contest of drawing, story and poetry on the water, TRAZAGUAS, of 1997, which celebrated its seventeenth edition last March, marking the World Day of the Water and that since its beginnings has been sponsored by the UNICEF.

ConCienci@Verde was created like project of national scope at the end of 2005.

The contest tries to create values of environmental conservation across the vocational formation in children and young people for a agroecological culture in harmony with the nature and the society.

Also there were recognized men and women who have good agroecological practices, granting the Agroecological Stamp to the usufructuary Reinaldo Ledesma Aguiar, of the project Semilla belonging to the Credit and Service Cooperative Arnaldo Guzmán Brizuela of the municipality Céspedes, to the western part of Camagüey.
