According to Leonel Sánchez Agüero, specialist of AZCUBA (sugar company) in this province, the problems of this production correspond to the deficit of more than 7 877 tons of brown sugar that was not processed last harvest by the Argentina plant in Florida wich only achieved 69 percent of the white sugar planed.

However, the manager of the sugar company when informing to the Provincial Administration Council (CAP), highlighted the quality of the camagüeyan sugar and the saving of fuel, since both industries have substitute it for marabou and other natural components.
