The event includes meets between pupils and teachers of the faculties of Graphic Design and Architecture, Industrial Engineering, Laws and Communication, and the visit to restored works and in repair of the historical center of this metropolis, according to information of the university site www.reduc.edu.cu.

Osvaldo Ibaola López, director of the IES, mentioned that for the Mexican academic institution it is of vital importance to realize every year this contest, because it allows to enrich and update the knowledge of pupils, and favors the approach of these to their future professional life.

On the Cuban part, Aymé Alonso Gatell, dean of the School of Constructions, highlighted the worth of this event from the cultural, professional and academic point of view, since it strengthens the bonds of friendship between both peoples and promotes the scientific research.

During their stay in the city of Camagüey, the 25 members of the Mexican delegation will tour places of historical interest, units of production as the Tínima Brewery and the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, and media of the territory.

The University of Camagüey has since the last two decades uninterrupted relations with the University of Puebla and the Institute of Higher Studies, which have allowed nearly 3 000 students of these centers to travel to Cuba to receive school years and consultancies.
