Her style as reporter and the identity that as director has managed to add to the companions' group, managed to characterize a team of professionals in the most important events of the territory, transmitted to the world in informations and other journalistic genres.

Ileana, student in the University of Oriente and reporter in Camagüey is among the most prestigious professionals of the press. Her agile and bold pen has tackled numerous and polemic topics that even do history in the social work of our province.

When delivering the award in the colonial courtyard of the Provincial Museum Ignacio Agramonte, in this city, Jorge Legañoa Alonso, national subdirector of the AIN, did a brief inventory of the trajectory of Ileana as reporter, director and partner, highlighting the successes that she has placed to the local delegation among the first ones of the country.

The Agency accumulates almost four decades of trajectory in Cuba, taking to the world the principal news of the country, spreading over 50 000 informations annually in different supports: text in Spanish, English, French and Russian; photos, audio and videos, realized by a network integrated by over 130 experienced reporters, photographers and other professionals located in 16 posts of correspondent in the island nation and its Central Office in Havana.

The news agencies constitute in the modern communications, the keystone for a rapid and efficient diffusion of the news in different places of its area of activity, to transmit them immediately to the head office, where is sent, as soon as possible, to the clients (radioes, newspapers, magazines, etc).
