The official informed that the annual plan, included the cold program, is ambitious: 25 000 hectares, the biggest growth of the last decade, with over half of this number concentrated on sugar areas of the plants Panama, Batalla de las Guásimas, both in Vertientes, and the Brazil plant in Esmeralda.

Jacob said that 98 % of the ground for the present rain period is in movement, and over 14 340 hectares in plowing and furrow processes to advance the cane plantation first in dry land lots, and to wrap up the annual sowing in the areas with possibilities of irrigation.
