During a meet, with representatives of institutions, political and governmental organizations of the country, the province and the said municipality, among others, informed that the experience that is applied since last March, contributes to a better formation, both of the "teachers" and of the pupils, given that the first ones, (3rd year students) assume a social responsibility that strengthens their integral formation, and the pupils receive the educational influence of whom in addition to giving specific subjects, help with their vocational guidance.
This young people, mostly pupils assistants of different subjects in their respective majors, are hired between 4 and up to 12 hours, with their corresponding wage remuneration, and have the challenge i addtition to cover the teachers deficit in the territory, to guarantee the quality of their lessons and of their personal academic outcomes.
Yosvani Montano, president of the University Student Federation (FEU) referred to the call of his organization so that the young people joins as teachers in secondary basic, preuniversities and polytechnical schools, in this case in the provinces of Havana, Matanzas, Villa Clara, Ciego de Ávila and Camagüey, where all the teaching position are still not covered for these levels.
Claudia Proenza, president of the University Student Federation (FEU) in the University of Camagüey said that the boys, in the dynamics of the development of the task have already assumed others like those of guides in specialized clubs, and that in permanent exchanges with the directions of the University and of Education modifications are introduced in the study plans, adapting the labor practice to the current circumstances, and especially, a massive provision of the students to join the activity.
In this sense René Rabí, president of the University Student Federation (FEU) of the Medical School Carlos J. Finlay showed the same way the decision of the young people of this center to join the lines of the said contingent.
Dr.Sc. Santiago Lajes Choy, rector of the University of Camagüey meant that this new mission is not for an emergency, that it is assumed from the position of the integrated university, in which ten faculties have concrete responsibilities with perspectives that contribute to the most integral formation of the professionals, and that will always correspond to the needs for the province.
For his part Dr.Sc. Amilcar Arenal, dean of the faculty of Agricultural Sciences reviewed the example of the current tie with the provincial agricultural polytechnical Mártires de Pino Tres, where there was opened a teaching unit in which the future veterinary doctors and agronomists of the third year develop activities in the facilities of this center.
