According to Dioelvis Sollet Mosqueda, director of the said entity, the losses split into commercials and techniques, and although the last ones are the most representative, need major investments, but in the case of the first ones they can recover in shorter term.

With the change of the devices of measurements a more efficient billing is ensured, since already senile technologies do not offer a real reading of the whole consumption of the houses or institutions, the manager indicated.

José Manuel García Acosta, manager of Commercial Services in this entity, informed that with a small part of this number of 45 000 counting meters, in the previous year there was modernized the totality of the belonging ones to the big consumers and 94 per cent of other minors, all of the state sector.

The residential part took most of the available devices, approximately 35 000, since in this sector was located the most obsolete technology, and for 2015 it is foreseen the installation of another 50, also with a big quantity concentrated on the houses.     

With regard to the contraventions, the official said that in addition to the fines imposition, the entity develops a preventive work with regular examinations, to seal the counting meters and to detect energy thefts.

Although dissatisfactions still persist in this sense, for fines concept in the first months of this year the company deposited over a quarter million pesos, for frauds, and illicit connections after a cut of the service for non-payments.

Since 2012, the percentage of the losses diminished in almost 16 up to 12 %, fundamentally for all these actions in the ambience of the commercialization of the service.
