In press conference, José Rodríguez Barreras, holder of the institution, announced that there will take part representatives of the Network of the Historian Offices and of the Conservative of the Hereditary Cities of Cuba and confirmed the presence of delegates from Mexico and Dominican Republic.

The IXth Symposium, with the principal core topic: The tourism as development factor, will extend until February 4th, marked the first day -February 2nd- by the meeting of the Office Network and conferences of the representative of the Regional Office of the UNESCO, of the Ministry of Tourism and one that will be on the general plan of the Base Station of the Railroad.

As closing of this day at 8:00 pm the Solemn Assembly in San Juan de Dios square. On February 3rd the delegates will participate in three committees to debate 27 papers of the 45 selected by the Organizing Committee, in accordance with information offered in the conference by the M.Sc. Maria Isabel Carmenates Bringa, director of the Main Plan of the OHCC.

The economic value of the patrimony, culture, the sustainability of development, the tourist management like endogenous development factor, will call the attention of the first committee. The second one: the conservation and interpretation of the Cultural heritage for the tourism, the community participation and the authenticity of the cultural message.

Also the city like historical urban landscape, cultural identity and the integrated planning, maxim “if we realize that in these hereditary areas and since in fact it is, tourism is one of the economic lines with which our model has been provided”.

It was known that in Camagüey, 18 million pesos more will be invested this year, with regard to 2014, in the effort of making this city cozier, with a wide section of its historical center declared by the UNESCO Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
