CAMAGÜEY.- From June 25, it extends the technological literacy campaign organized by the Youth Computer and Electronics Club (JCCE) in this province to the municipality of Carlos Manuel de Céspedes. Starting July, it breaks the program in the municipality of Camagüey that due to its extension will apply from July to December to reach each of its popular councils.

The objective is to show the appropriate uses that can be given to information technologies and communications by different sectors of the population and to promote the services of the 44 facilities of that type that the territory of Camagüey has.

Among the first beneficiaries during the months of July and August will be those who live in areas belonging to or near the Julio Antonio Mella, Eden, Buenos Aires, La Vigía and Florat districts.

So far, more than two thousand people of Camagüey have received the basic knowledge to access technologies as part of the technological literacy program in the popular councils of Urban Center, Tejón, Panamá and Batalla de las Guásimas, all of the municipality of Vertientes. House of grandparents, Circles for children, dining rooms, schools, pharmacies, among other sites serve as the stage for the classes to which technological means acquired for this idea are taken.

Already literate households are easily recognized, because at the end of the action a sticker is placed on their door. This is part of the efforts made by Youth Club to bring the Cuban population with technological access and knowledge about these technologies.
