CAMAGÜEY.- By means of art, the University of Camagüey received Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, president of the Council of State and of Ministers, during an official visit in this province. That way, he confirmed one of the potentialities that spotlights the learning process in the first institution of its kind born after the Revolution.
In addition, there he spoke with students, faculty, managers, about what is put in from the University in terms of technology innovation and scientific research, which are keys to the development of Cuba.
This Wednesday, his agenda in the capital of the province also included the Seed Biofactory located in Puerto Príncipe neighborhood, indispensable for the assurance of agri-food production and the territorial self supply program. He also visited the Botanic Garden and the Orchid Garden. In these two places, besides preserving flora species and teaching about environmental care and protection, there are other services for the recreation of the population.
Prior to these stopovers, he went to other scientific and production centers where the President called for a defense through actions of the technological sovereignity, the local development and the end of development cycles.
In Santa Cruz del Sur, where the visit began, besides entering several entities he closely talked to the population that came to greet him.

This morning, accompanied by ohter leaders, the President visited, in Santa Cruz del Sur, the municipal hospital "José E. Santiesteban de Santa Cruz del Sur, that had zero child and maternal deaths this year.
He asked students from the junior high Camilo Cienfuegos about the usefulness of the website Cubaeduca (www.cubaeduca.cu) and about continuing the studies.
The Seed Biofactory located in Puerto Príncipe neighborhood is vital for the assurance of agri-food production here.
The artistic group Maraguán is a prestige for amateur art in the Cuban universities. .
Residents and workers from the new nursing home Monseñor Adolfo Rodríguez also engaged in dialogues with Díaz-Canel.
