CAMAGÜEY.-On the occasion of the Fathers’ Day, the Popular Bank of Savings (BPA) and that of Credit and Trade (BANDEC) increase to 10% the bonus that usually receive the customers who pay with magnetic cards in terminals of points of sale (Pos).

The promotion extends from June 10 to 16 for BPA and from June 13 to 16 in Bandec, for cards associated with savings accounts, collection of wages and stimulation, as well as pensioners and retirees, who normally receive a discount of 4 and 5% respectively.

"This action is part of the strategies to encourage the use in the country of electronic transactions, and that the cards are not used only to extract the cash in the ATMs, which is the most common," commented to Adelante Digital Lilianne Morales Almaguer , BPA banking specialist.
Due to the frequent doubt of the customers, she stressed that in the stores is charged the total amount for the cost of the invoice, and sometimes they do not even know of the bonus, which is the bank who makes the discount when performing the operation on the card and the user can check his balance or request the latest operations.

Morales Almaguer advocated that the rest of the agencies involved, such as the Trade network and Fincimex, contribute to the people achieving this purpose with harmony, because on many occasions they do not accept the cards claiming that they are overdue, even though the bank keeps them running for their good condition; or the Pos remain broken and poorly connected.

President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez has called for a multiplication of efforts for the efficient development of e-commerce. Its use has to be extended in the national territory, he said, because not only allows to elevate the efficiency in the efforts that at different instances are carried out, also contributes to avoid phenomena of corruption, by leaving traces of all the transactions, review Granma in its digital edition.
