CAMAGÜEY.-Protecting the heritage that defines Cubans is the main objective of the 8th Conference of Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, which began today in this half-millenary city, with Spain as a guest region.

Iván Mora Domínguez, President of the Scientific Committee of the event, pointed out that the spirit of extending what defines us as a people and society mark the quotation that each year is made on the occasion of the World Day of Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development.

Commented the official of the Office of the Historian of the City of Camagüey (OHCC), organizing institution of the day, that the sap of Spain shed all over the island will give away new knowledge and allow to explore other areas of thought.
