CAMAGÜEY.- The Provincial Prize for Life and Work of Engineering 2019 was delivered by the Union of Architects and Construction engineers in Cuba (UNAICC) to four pofesionales of Camagüey, outstanding for their projects outside and within the province and country.

In solemn ceremony in the Nicolas Guillén hall, of the Revolution Square Major General Ignacio Agramonte, received the high stimulus the engineers Tomás Varona del Toro, José Ángel Jiménez López, Geovani Germán Grimon Martínez and Elias Valentín de la Rosa Masdueño, all with a rich endorsement of designs and teachings at work in the construction centers where they still work, including international missions and international events embodied in their extensive curricula.

Before, in the central activities in Santiago de Cuba, by the Day of the Cuban Engineering, Dr. and engineer Rafael Larrúa Quevedo, professor of the University of Camagüey, was creditor of the National Prize of Engineering for the quantitative and qualitative works of his professional existence.

From the year 2001 to the date the UNAICC every year during the Day for the event and in homage to the distinguished Cuban Engineer, Francisco de Albear y Lara, with more than 50 outstanding projects, among them, the current aqueduct of Havana, recognizes those who in the guild accumulate the requirements established for such meritorious award.

At the commemorative appointment, the architect Ibis Alfaro García, President of the Provincial Subsidiary UNAICC, congratulated the professionals honored and urged the young people of new entry into that social organization to follow those examples of results, quality and labor selflessness.
