CAMAGÜEY.- The sugar mills Siboney, Carlos Manuel de Céspedes and Battle of Las Guásimas, they head the sugar fulfillment up to the date in the province; nevertheless, the instability in the harvest and the supply of cane commit an outrage against the industrial joint effort to exceed the due productive plans.

Norelvis Rooster Saroza, chief of the harvestin Camagüey, told to Adelante that five of six factories of sugar, except “Brazil“, initiated the grinding with advance, and although some ups and downs appeared in the "Argentina", of Florida, and the "Panama", of Vertientes, the results until last Thursday augur that the Camagüey’s agro-sugar workers will overcome 24 000 metric tons of the crude oil of the small harvest at the end of the current December.

According to the AzCuba manager, the principal risk rests on the cane supply, not only for the lack of some technological resources, but for the low use of the working day of the mechanized squads of the cut and shot of the cane.

“We lack for completing four combines CASE of the model 7 000 for deficit of radiators, 24 trucks and 20 wagons for the shot, but the biggest inconvenient sound the non-performances of the daily delivery of cane to the sugar mills that happen for the misuse of the available equipmnt and the late beginning of the cuts every morning”.

Nevertheless, the harvest newly began and there is time so that the administrative and trade union leaders go down to the squads plumbers and attend better to this decisive force for the production to this year of more than 158 000 tons of sugar.
