CAMAGÜEY.- In solemn ceremony, held in the hall Nicolás Guillén of the Square of the Revolution Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz, were laureates on Wednesday about 50 Camagüey´s teachers, as part of the celebration for the Day of the Educator.

 In the meeting was awarded the order Frank País of first grade to Cristina de la Caridad Cruz Peña for her outstanding investigative, community and social work; María Elena Delgado Ruiz, retired rejoined with 44 years in the sector and José Ángel Hernández Rosabal for their contribution and advice in and out of the country.

Another 43 outstanding workers from all levels of education received the order Frank País of second degree, the medals of internationalist worker and José Tey and the distinctions for the Cuban Education and Rafael María de Mendive.

 These awards are given each year in recognition of the merits achieved and the work done in the enrichment of education and the promotion of educational work in the country.

 Also in the Protocol Hall the professionals Ms. C Marisela Martínez Marín, Ms. C Osdeine Hernández Navarro, Cristina Becerra Fernández and Ms. C Tania Oramas Ramos, deserved the status of Illustrious Son, title that is given to personalities born in the territory and which have been outstanding by their relevant results highlighting the name of the province.

 In the final words, Dagmara Sánchez López, member of the Provincial Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba, said that the consecration of all the workers in the sector has contributed to a better school development and has helped the training of new professionals in the ethical and moral order.

 “When the distinctions are given, thousands of men and women are recognized that in the scattered Camagüey´s geography simply fulfill the Martí´s precept that when they reach the Earth every man has the right to be educated and then in payment contribute to education of others.”
