CAMAGÜEY. - With the exportation of 15 products and three forms of services, this province generated income for a value of 76 million 407 thousand dollars, at the end of September, number that can increase as regards the economic potentialities of the territory.

In the decade of 1980, as it was informed recently in the Provincial Assembly of the People´s Power, the demarcation managed to commercialize on the external market more than 70 items.

Ángel Peláez Rivero, vice-president of the Council of Provincial Government and coordinator of the economic topics in this organ, informed that for 2019 there are registered another 10 medium-term, exportable items and identified another 18 that they take a review process in the business portfolio, with a major long-term financing.

From next year Camagüey will increase the items commercialization today destined to the foreign market, as the honey of bees and the shrimp, he affirmed.

On the latter product, Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, Secretary of Exterior Commerce and the Foreign Investment, during the governmental visit carried out to the province, he emphasized the possibility of raising its exportation to more than six thousand tons in the nearby future, from an association with a Chinese company.

The holder valued to negotiate with Russia a credit to recover the production of the Citric Company of Sola, located in the municipality of Sierra de Cubitas, to the north of this city, from the orange and grapefruit cultivation, high demand on the international market, for being organic fruits.

Malmierca Díaz reported in this occasion on the incorporation in the portfolio of business opportunities of a project of the Sugar Group AZCUBA, to prepare a special sweetener, in association with a French company interested in contributing capital to promote this exportation.

He identified among the products with perspectives for the external market the vaccine against the porcine cholera, of the Center of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology of Camagüey, from the financing, with a foreign associate, of approximately 10 million dollars, and which would serve to supply national clients.
