CAMAGÜEY. -The Excellency Lady Jehanne Roccas, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium in the Republic of Cuba, exchanged with members of the Board of Directors, students and researchers of the University of Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte (UC), first created on the island after the revolutionary triumph of 1959.

The Rector of the House of High Studies, Dr. C. Santiago Lajes Choy, offered information on the advancement of the projects of academic collaboration that they maintain with the European nation to the Ambassador this Thursday.

Among the most beneficial lines of research with the aforementioned cooperation, Lajes Choy highlighted those of Biotechnology, Energy and the Environment, and Information and Communication Technologies.

The Belgian Ambassador was accompanied by Mónica Rojas, in charge of Cooperation and Culture at the embassy; and the head of the Department of International Relations at the Provincial Assembly of People´s Power, Mabel Reyes, among other officials.
