CAMAGÜEY.- The completion of the workforce in Children’s daycare (CI) is one of the priorities in this province, to offer response to the indications of the Ministry of Education related to demographic policy and attention to working mothers, and those who have had multiple births.

The recruitment of girls who are trained as teaching assistants in emerging courses has been one of the tasks undertaken by the Directorate of Education, the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) and other organizations, mainly in the municipality of Camagüey, which allowed to graduate 54 young people to perform in that work.

Anielka Fernandez del Monte, general secretary of the FMC in Camagüey´s territory, said that they assumed the task with a lot of sense of belonging and managed to capture and explain the importance of their performance to these young people, taking into account the need that exists.

In addition, he reported that the joint work favored incorporating training classrooms to work in CI to 100 young people from the municipalities of Florida, Nuevitas, Guaimaro, Vertientes and Santa Cruz del Sur, locations that present the greatest difficulties about it.

In this sense, Mercedes Escudero Olazabal, director of Education in the province, clarified the emergent nature of these measures, in order to train in an accelerated way the pedagogical auxiliaries, since it is insufficient even to cover the capacities the discharge of CI educators at the Nicolás Guillén Pedagogical School, where the specialty is studied.

Currently, 226 students are formed in this discipline, which will be progressively answered; however, ninth-grade students continue to be recruited and, at the same time, work to sensitize the family with the fulfilment of a task that is of paramount importance to society.
