Julio Cabrera Delgado, president of the entity, said to Adelante Digital that the million 12 000 liters that were gathered until this September 7th was possible due to the meteorological conditions of this year that have favored the heyday of the cattle, the determination of the associates and to the work that from 2017 is done in the cooperative to diminish the bull fattening, which was a tradition in this group, and to increase the farms that devote themselves to the milk production.

Cabrera Delgado also said that in this moment of the dairy harvest the cows average 4.48 liters out in the daily milking. “Few producers apply the double milking since they do not have the material conditions to do it. If we could reverse the situation and incorporate into this routine sixty per cent of the associates, we could hire with the State two million liters of milk”.
