CAMAGÜEY. - The provincial celebration for the 58th anniversary of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) will be celebrated next 22nd, in the municipality of Sierra de Cubitas, as recognition to the work opened during the last year by the females of this territory of the north stripe of this region.

The occasion will be propitious to pay tribute and to recall the educations of the president founder of the FMC, Vilma Espín Guillois.

A wide program the Camagüey´s federated women have developed during this year to materialize their political commitments and to strengthen the functioning of the organization.

Among these tasks, there is the recognition to founders, social workers, sanitary helpers and to combatants of the Revolutionary Armed Forces and of the Department of the Interior, as well as to the young people who are 14 years of age and enter the FMC.

For contributing with their daily chore to the development of the country, and dignifying the role of the organization of the women in the Island, as part of the commemoration of the event Camagüey´s women prominent in several spheres of the society will receive the distinction August 23.

Anielka Fernández del Monte, general secretary of the FMC in Camagüey, added that in this province approximately 30 000 women integrate this organization.
