CAMAGÜEY.- A workshop on techniques and technologies for housing in this city was taught by the Mexican architect Ramón Aguirre Morales, who for a week will work with local masons for the socialization of knowledge.

The construction of vaults through the use of the brick and other materials of traditional use, with proven resistance to natural disasters and climate events in the territory, will facilitate the recovery of the houses affected by hurricane Irma, in September 2017.

In exchange with the administrative authorities of the municipality of Camagüey, the Mexican specialist with 25 years of experience, emphasized in the economic results of the application of this technique.

Similar workshops were held in the provinces of Guantánamo, Santiago de Cuba and Sancti Spiritus, where in addition to the practice of training actions are managed with university students in the fields of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
