CAMAGÜEY. - A comprehensive program, dedicated mainly to the professional exchange, today presented the provincial executive of the Union of Journalists of Cuba, to purpose of the near beginning of the day for the Day of the Cuban press that will elapse in Camagüey from 5 to 17 March next.

 This year's observance is dedicated to the 165 anniversary of the birth of José Martí; 150 of the foundation of the Cuban Mambi The Free Newspaper; 85 the death of Juan Gualberto Gómez and, as an initiative in Camagüey, to the 50 years of the municipal radio station Radio Santa Cruz.

 Between the main moments will be a conference on journalism in the independentist exploits of the 19th century, a panel with santacrucenos journalists concerning the work in the radial plant of that demarcation, conversations with leading agramontinos professionals of the sector and the presentation of the book Letters of travel, Aurelia Castle.

 The summit will take place on 14 March, in the José Martí Park, in the city of Camagüey, when on the occasion of the anniversary 126 of the newspaper Patria, founded by the National Hero of Cuba, the provincial prize for the work of the life Rolando Ramirez.

 The Day of the Cuban press also includes tours of the municipality of Florida, headquarters this year of the Camagüeyan celebration for the Day of the National Rebelliousness and the accomplishment of meetings of agramontinos Softball with colleagues from neighboring provinces of Las Tunas and Ciego de Ávila.
