CAMAGÜEY.- On a tour of towns and communities in the north of the province, Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), General of Army Corps Ramon Espinosa Martin, noted the progress of the recovery in areas affected by the hurricane Irma last September.

The also Vice Minister and Chief of the Strategic Eastern Region visited the coastal area of tarafa, in the city of Nuevitas, where they are running 50 Petrocasas, 25 houses with blocks and 58 with the Sandino.

He was also in the special school Jose Antonio Echeverria, Countryman, in the municipality of Mines, accompanied by Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca, First Secretary of the PCC in the province of Camaguey, and Sucely  Morfa González, a member of the Council of State and first secretary of the UJC, who exchange with students and teachers of the center.

Later, Espinosa Martin checked the progress in the repair of roads linking the villages of that territory.

In statements to the press, Oel Real, who as the driver of a bulldozer working in this program since the beginning of the recovery, commented that the days of work many times are extended until late in the night.

Our desire, he said, is to conclude in the shortest possible time the rehabilitation of roads and the road that leads toward the north of the demarcation.

The Pylons, rural community located in Sierra de Cubitas, also formed part of the itinerary of the day.

There have been rebuilt in three months around 90 houses, a school and one of services, a unit of gastronomic delights, as well as several vials, with an investment that amounts to 800 thousand pesos.

In exchange with the settlers of the place Tapia Fonseca assured that with greater efforts, the community can be totally rebuilt at the end of February.

Once the recuperative tasks, is anticipated in the coming months the installation in Sierra de Cubitas of seven machines of advanced irrigation technology, which will allow incorporation of its inhabitants to the production of food, in addition to constitute a new source of employment, said the leader.

While, in the municipality of Esmeralda, where it was reported the largest damages of hurricane, Espinosa Martin was interested in the plan for the construction of houses in the village of avocado.

More than 50 houses made with tables of Palma have been raised in this place and, as explained by Danally Hernández, First Secretary of the PCC in the territory, the construction of the remaining 26 depends on the efforts of the affected families, which are conducive to the materials.

In that community visitors knew that some of the residents of the new homes have as their initiative a vegetable garden around their homes; Tapia Fonseca indicated to the authorities of the territory take it as an example of what you should do every family, to also contribute to food first hand.
