CAMAGÜEY.- Camagüey´s chef Frank Rodriguez Pine, twice winner of the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards, which recognize each year to the best food and wine books, submit a new text at the 27th International Book Fair in Havana.

 Eat with identity title of the award-winning chef and writer the new delivery, in which addresses the culinary habits, historical reviews and how they ate from the pirates to personalities of the history, in the Island of Youth, whose editorial, The Open, welcomed the publication of the volume.

Interested in rescuing the culinary traditions linked to the history of the village, Rodriguez Pine found that in the second largest island of the Cuban archipelago there are strong food habits, necessary for you to know all.

 With the pirates of the Caribbean in their raids of past centuries, and the colonies of emigrants from the Cayman Islands, Americans and Japanese, of which there are still descendants with well-defined culinary habits, begins the journey through the island cuisine in eating with identity.

 Rodriguez Pine also makes reference to the stay in the ancient Isle of Pines of José Martí, Cuba's National Hero, and the journalist, writer and anti-fascist fighter Pablo de la Torriente Brau.

With Taste and Know, Rodriguez Pine became the first Cuban chef doubly rewarded with the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards, in China in 2016, in an appointment where competed some 26 thousand works from more than 200 countries, while in 2011 it was received with the title kitchen tool.
