CAMAGÜEY.- With the purpose of relieving the professorial deficit and ensure better preparation in the exercise of the educational instruction, the University of Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz opened its doors to some 35 students from 12th grade, who at the end of the current school year will opt for teaching careers.

Alicia Rodríguez Gregorich, vice-rector for Teaching Training Center, pointed out that upon completion of this course these learners will face the tests for admission to higher education in the best conditions and with a strong vocation toward the Magisterium.

At the conclusion of the pre-university level, these young people will be able to access the degree in Education in the fields of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Psychological and Informatics, among others.

Rodriguez Gregorich added that a recognized faculty taught the teaching to those students, who in addition to their training as future teachers, will be linked to the rest of the university community in extension activities, recreation, sports, political and cultural activities on campus.

Currently this initiative, with the name of "Universities", is part of the actions deployed for the completion of the teacher coverage, whose needs in the Territory over a thousand teachers, mainly in the teachings of Basic Secondary School, University and Tecnica-Profesional.

The pedagogical vocation, its link to the teaching, results in the academic order and the integral formation, characterize the twelfth grade students that are currently being prepared as future educators at the University of Camagüey, Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz, first created by the Revolution.
