CAMAGÜEY.- The University of Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz is immersed in the celebration of its half century of existence to be celebrated next November 6, and for it carries out an important plan of repair and remodeling of buildings in its three main headquarters, through a program that has intensified since last June, which will not stop during the holiday period, because even some of them will host the summer offers of the institution.

New roads, such as the one that will link to the central campus with José Martí campus, replacement of windows, furniture and fittings of the toilets, waterproofing of ceilings, conditioning of parks and plazas, imply a movement involving workers and students under the mobilizing action of the union and the Federation of University Students (Federación de Estudiantes Universitarios or FEU).

There is no lack of embellishment in the paintings of classrooms, student residences, outdoor areas.

Likewise, on this occasion progress is made in the installation of new laboratories such as soil research in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and another in the vice-rectory of research and improvement, which have been financially supported by homologous foreign institutions.
