CAMAGÜEY.- By the consolidated work during the current year, the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC, Spanish acronym), received this Friday the condition of National Vanguard and headquarters of the central act by the 57 anniversary of the Organization, to be held on 23 August.

The result was given by Teresa Amarelle Boué, secretary general of the FMC, who acknowledged the work of Camagüey´s women in order to achieve that status, highlighting the municipalities of Vertientes, Guáimaro, Minas, Sierra de Cubitas and Santa Cruz del Sur.

In this sense, the work of the federated women in social care and prevention, community work, linking with the National Association of Small Farmers and the growth with the young people, endorsed this national recognition, as referred Anielka Fernández, secretary of the organization in the territory.

In addition to joy, that condition implies commitment to its more than 290 thousand affiliates, which today have as their main challenges to insist with systematic actions in the eradication of social issues and work with the community, added the leader.

The political and government support to the main tasks of the organization and women empowerment, were also highlighted in the day of today, presided over by Isabel González Cárdenas, president of the Provincial Assembly of Popular Power and other authorities of the Communist Party of Cuba in the province.

Santiago de Cuba, Las Tunas and Granma were also highlighted in the emulative process "We Are the Revolution", in 57 birthday greeting of the FMC, whose central act will take place on August 23 in the Plaza of the Revolution Major General Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz, of this city.
