CAMAGÜEY.- For the summer entertainment of the farmers from this province, the National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP, Spanish acronym) develops a set of activities in the season of school vacations, so that the farmers and their families can enjoy touristic destinations such as beaches and camping sites.

“We have arranged about 25 trucks to transport our associates to the beaches in Santa Cruz del Sur, Florida, Nuevitas y Santa Lucía”, informed Hayda Díaz Figueredo, provincial president of the ANAP.

As usual, the different productive bases are preparing trips and other gifts for this period as a way to encourage the associates, as it happens with the retreats located in the beaches that some of the cooperatives of farming production have.

“Activities are being organized by the ANAP and the cooperative, last year my family and I went to the Crocodile Breeder in Minas, but it is something that can be improved because not everyone takes part”, said Omar Fernández Adán, producer in the Cooperative of Credit and Services (CCS) Sergio González, located in this municipality.

Within the summer actions of the directives of the Association, trips to touristic facilities beyond the borders of Camagüey are included.
