CAMAGÜEY.- The personal income campaign corresponding to 2016 raised one thousand 105 million 846 pesos and 80 cents for the province, announced the National Office of Tributary Administration last July 14th while celebrating the Day of the workers of the sector of the economy.

The fact that the territory raised such numbers was due to the important work of the 345 staff members of this organ when providing a quality service in order to guarantee the tributary responsibilities and the managing of control, audit and determination of the incomes to the State budget from the contributors.

The Day of the Tributary Worker was set because of the signing made in that date, but in 1958, of the Military Order #39 of the Rebel Army by the then Commander Raúl Castro Ruz, chief of the Second Oriental Front “Frank País”, that set the obligation of paying taxes over the farming, forestry, cattle and mining productions in an amount of the 10% over the total produced.

According to consulted sources, this funding allowed the widening of the Rebel Army´s itinerant operations on its way to the occident to rebuild roads and improve the communication, to respond to the healthiness needs and educational tasks in general, included the peasants in the areas taken.

The tributary branch counts with licentiates in economy, accounting and finances, law, psychology, social communicator, education and engineers in computer science.

As a part of the activities celebrated for the Day of the Tributary Worker, it was held the tributary forum Anec-Onat in the Center of Conventions Santa Cecilia, with the presentation of ten projects and the awarding and recognition of 27 founders that have worked in this managing for over 20 years.
