CAMAGÜEY.- (ACN) With the premise of training mainly young people linked to various forms of labor management, the Provincial Directorate of Education in Camagüey designed 62 summer courses on technical and professional specialties, an experience started in 2016.
With success in its previous results, this option, which will begin with a first cycle in July and August, will also run from September to May 2018, just as the previous year when more than a thousand people graduated in the 13 municipalities of the territory.
The courses will include topics related to Computer Science, Accounting, Languages, Construction, Agriculture, Food Processing and Styling Hairdressing, the latter among the most requested, said Elier Rodríguez Pérez, Deputy Director of Technical and Vocational Education in the territory.
At the end, graduates are given an endorsement to certify their participation and acquired knowledge, which makes it easier for their employers to know how young people are prepared to take on any activity in state production units and services, cooperatives or small private businesses.
With more than 800 graduates, since its inception in Camagüey in 2016, the Hair and Style course has been the most numerous, explained Rodríguez Pérez, at the same time that he valued the alliance with the Imagen Fonte Project, promoted by the stylist and Professor Armando Fonte Guerra.
Strengthening and renewing the Cuban aesthetic image, becomes the main intention of the aforementioned proposal, which will admit 50 aspirants who, in addition to hairdressing techniques, will have spaces for debate on national identity and cultural traditions.
The Imagen Fonte teaching method has been validated for more than three decades in Cuba and abroad, with more than 18 thousand graduates in the Caribbean nation and in other countries such as Spain, Italy, France, England, Bulgaria and Ecuador.
The trainings, with free registration and without age limitations, are intended to contribute to the integral training of those who opt for these activities with a high ethical, professional and competitive level.
