NUEVITAS, CAMAGÜEY.- Nuevitas Pasteurizer (Pasteurizadora Nuevitas) breathed the airs of World Festival of Youth and Students on Wednesday, when choosing its direct delegate to Sochi, Russia, for next October. Dresmer Rojas García is the Camagüey’s third delegate with direct ticket to the 19th appointment of the progressive youths of the world.
This boy, technician in food preservation and analysis, is also the General Secretary of the Base Committee of the Union of Young Communists (UJC) in a center where 171 workers work, with the high responsibility of processing the milk that is consumed in the municipalities of Nuevitas and Minas.
Sucelys Morfa González, First Secretary of the National Committee of the Union of Young Communists, acknowledged the merits of the organization, which makes it worthy of having a direct delegate to Sochi 2017. "We want to thank the National Bureau for everything they do for their young people, that is how the youth is cared for, giving them confidence, this will be the generation that will never fail Fidel, "he emphasized.
"In this young, genuine, hardworking young man, is reflected the greatest conquest of the Revolution, its youth, he will have the honor and the high responsibility of representing them, not only you, but all the people of Nuevitas,who will have to feel very proud when seeing him participating there in the Festival ", also had praise for the other young candidate, Lester Mesa Díaz who despite his youth serves as the second of the factory.
The young elect, still excited, spoke to his colleagues, thank those who trusted in this center for this recognition, "this is a collective merit more than individual, we are committed with simplicity in putting forward place in all senses, in the production, in the tasks of our organizations and above all in the ideological battle. " Dresmer Rojas explained.
In addition to the processing of milk, this plant produces ice cream, natural and soy yogurt, sweet fluid milk, spreadable cream, chocolate cream and cold, melted and blue cheeses. The results obtained and the quality of the productions allow, after 17 years of planned losses, to have profits that are reverted in the average wage of the workers, above 1000 pesos.
The factory was founded in May 1977 as a dairy, in mid-1978, the production of cookies and bottled soft drinks was added. In 1994, after the reorganization, the factory of cookies and bottled soft drinks disappeared, leaving only the collection and distribution of fresh milk, from that date is designated as Nuevitas Pasteurizer.
In January 2016, a Mini Ice Cream Plant was installed, which was designed, built and put into operation in a period of three months, with a production capacity of 500 gallons per day. The construction of another production line was also undertaken, San Fernando Blue Cheese, today it has been possible to diversify the productions to the point of elaborating 10 milky products.
