The sculpture of the Literature Nobel prize winner, who died this year, was shaped by the Barrios family.

They live in the mountainous town of Guisa, and became famous for their wax figures.

Gabo's figure will be unveiled on August 13 at the museum at the Paseo Garcia, a picturesque boulevard of the city, where Cuba's national anthem was sung for the first time.
