CAMAGÜEY. - The next May, 9th the personal exhibition of photo Silhouettes in the time, of the young artist of plastic Gabriela Dueñas Aragón, will be inaugurated in the Gallery Fidelio Ponce of León, in the headquarters of the Office of the Historian of the City of Camagüey (OHCC).

More than 15 images will integrate the sample that will reveal to the audience common places of this city, constructive elements that identify it, mixed from a particular approach of an old Camagüey´s environment, with personages related to the authoress.

“In my works I reflect the inhabitants' silhouette of our people and inside them can be appreciated ancient snapshots of public places and streets. Also, as photographic support, I use local newspapers whose writings are related to this metropolis and its architecture”, declared Dueñas Aragón to the digital newspaper Adelante Digital.

Time, object of constant analysis by Gabriela in her creations, will reappear again in this occasion.

“I want that the persons are surprised while seeing how much the different places that I represent have changed, as well as it happened to me. One of the premises in my speech is the concept of the temporary thing and there I crystallize it through the change, the annulment of the stability”, expressed the artist.

Titles as The return and Hereditary Silhouette, will be exhibited in the personal exhibition Silhouettes in the time, the fourth of the artist and the first in the Gallery Fidelio Ponce of León.

Graduated in the Academy of the Arts Vicentina de la Torre Recio in the specialty of Plastic Arts in 2013, Gabriela Dueñas has taken part in samples like the First National Biennial Exhibition of Miniatures in 2015, where she obtained mention and in the Lounge of Plastic Arts The Mystery of the Christmas, in this same year, in which she received the biggest laurel.
